Day 01 Arrival
Arrival at Yangon airport and transfer to hotel. Overnight in
Yangon.
Day 02 Yangon
Breakfast at hotel and you will be on your own to explore Yangon.
The beginning of an adventure in the land of golden pagodas and your
golden dreams starts with a tour in the amazingly green capital of
Yangon. Amazing local glass work faded colonial atmosphere, lively
fish and vegetable markets, museums with great historical value, the
world largest sapphire, ruby and jade and world richest golden
Buddhist stupa. All you can find right here. Overnight at Yangon. |

Day
03 Yangon - Bago - Kyaikhtiyo <coach>
Breakfast at hotel and depart for Bago <approx 1½ hour>. Bago is an
ancient Mon capital known as Ramadesa. En-route stop at the
Shwenyaungpin Nat shrine to appeal for a safe journey and allied war
memorial. Visit major monuments in Bago such as Shwethalyaung
Reclining Image and Shwemawdaw Pagoda. Proceed to Kyaikhtiyo <approx
3 hour> known to the world as Golden Rock. Arrive at Kin pun base
camp and board on an open truck for 11 km steep and dirt road leads
to the upper staging point of Yathetaung camp. Continue walk up
<approx 45 min> to the renowned Kyaikhtiyo Pagoda site. The rock is
completely covered by gold leaf and delicately balanced on the edge
of the cliff. On arrival observe the beauty of sunset at this
important pilgrimage site. Overnight in Kyaikhtiyo.
Day
04 Kyaikhtyo - Taungoo <coach> Observe fantastic
sunrise view at the hill top. Breakfast at hotel and return to the
base camp, meet your driver and continue to Taungoo <approx 8 hour>.
Taungoo is the capital of 15th century however little evidence is
what left to be seen. Overnight in Taungoo.
Day 05 Taungoo -
Kalaw <coach>
Breakfast at hotel and depart for Kalaw <approx 8 hour> through the
mainland observing the dry zone of Myanmar as well as twisting and
turning hilly drive through Shan plateau. Kalaw is former British
hills station town, cool, spring-like weather, pine forests, tea
plantations and colorfully clad hill tribes make this town to a
natural magnet. Overnight in Kalaw.
Day 06 Kalaw -
Pindaya <coach>
Breakfast at hotel and depart for Pindaya cave, known to the world
as the home of the countless Buddha Images. The road to Pindaya
winds over the rolling hills of the Shan plateau through colorful
mustard and whet field. Explore around wonder of the mystery cave
and near by Po O traditional paper umbrella making process.
Overnight in Pindaya.
Day
07 Pindaya - Yazagyi village <trekking> On this trek
you may observe colorful hill tribes villages and way of life, most
of these tribes wearing their traditional dresses. Breakfast at
hotel and trek to Htutni Dahnu village <approx 1 hour> and continue
trek to Sikyainn <approx 1 hour>. Lunch stop and continue to south
Yasakyi Palaung village <approx 1½ hour> passing through cultivated
fields of the chive roots, cordial leaves, cheroot leave, tea leaves
and pineapple plantation etc. Dinner and overnight at Monastery
<blanket and pillows will be provided>.
Day 08 Yasagyi - Linleinn - Htinsu - Taungbawgyi -
Pindaya <trekking> Breakfast at the monastery and
trek to Menetaung <approx 1 ½ hour> and then to Pinseinpin <another
1 hour>. Lunch and continue to Htinshugone village and to
Taungbawgyi Dhanu village <approx 2 hour>. Visit in the village and
continue trek to Pindaya <approx 1 hour>. Meet with your driver and
continue to Inle Lake <approx 2 hour>. The road winds over the
rolling hills of the Shan plateau through colorful mustard and whet
field. Overnight at Inle Lake.
Day 09
Inle Lake
Breakfast at hotel. You will be on your own to explore the unique
lake. Traveling on the lake is an exhilarating experience for nature
lovers and a chance to observe the unique tradition of the Intha
people. Wonder unique leg-rowing fishermen, floating firms, houses
and monasteries on stilt. Phaungdaw Oo pagoda, Ngaphechaung
monastery and some of cottage industries. Overnight at Inle Lake. |

Day
10 Inle - Mandalay <coach>
Breakfast at hotel and depart for Mandalay <approx 9 hour> through
the road winds over the rolling hills of the Shan plateau through
colorful mustard and whet field. Mandalay is the last kingdom as
well as center of the Myanma cultural, tradition, arts and crafts.
Mandalay has long been known as a centre of skilled craftsmanship
and in former times supplied the royal courts. Overnight in
Mandalay.
Day 11 Mandalay <coach>
Breakfast at hotel. You will be on your own to explore this unique
capital. Ideal to visit "the largest book" at Kuthodaw Pagoda where
entire Buddhist canon recorded on stone tablets totaling 729 in
number and Shwenandaw "golden Monastery" to observe finest Myanmar
wooden architecture etc, Mahamuni Image and Amapura "meaning city of
immortality" with a visit of unique 200 years old U Bin wooden
bridge etc. Overnight in Mandalay. |

Breakfast at hotel and visit Sagaing, covered with 600 white-painted
pagodas and monasteries, Sagaing hill is widely regarded as the
religious centre of Myanmar and is home of 6000 monks and nun, 100
meditation centers. On your way visit traditional bronze casting,
silver smith works which Sagaing is famous for. Sagaing become the
capital of independence of Shan around 1315 after fall of Bagan.
Continue traveling to the center of Chindwin valley to Monywar
<approx 4 hour>. Attributes start here with more, most, large and
larger: 500,000 Buddha images, 806 stone slabs of Buddhist
scriptures, 1,000 Banyan trees, the largest reclining Buddha Image
and site of Poe Win Taung Pagoda complex, a solid sand stone
mountain which is carved in to many small shrines and Buddha Images
and mural paintings most of which are contemporary of that of Bagan
period. Overnight in Monywar.
Day 13
Monywar - Pakokku -
Bagan <coach>
 Breakfast at hotel and have a great day by driving along the country
road <approx 7 hour>. You may stop at villages and everywhere people
delighted to have their pictures taken! A visit to Pakangyi - said
to be the place of skillful quibblers in Myanmar. Observe the huge
monasteries, supported by the hundreds of teak pillars and
ornamental backdrop of a throne and the most amazing, wood carved
Buddha Image. Cross the Ayeyarwady river by Z craft to get to Bagan.
Bagan, founded as early as in 849 on the banks of the Ayeyarwady
river was the capital of today Myanmar. The 11th century
archaeological site is considered one of the richest and most
amazing sites in Asia. Overnight in Bagan.
Day 14 / 15
Bagan
 You will be on your own to explore next two days in Bagan. You will
wander its dusty tracks visiting magnificent temples and towering
pagodas with ancient and beautifully painted murals dating back over
a millennium. One can easily imagine in the morning's mist a parade
of gilded elephants passing between the white pagodas, laden
ox-carts raising a cloud of dust as they slowly plod towards the
horizon, or a line of saffron robed monks collecting their daily
food in black lacquered alms bowls. The elephants were gone, but the
rest remains. The most impressive and inspiring monuments are
Thabyinnyu, Anandar, Gawdawpalin, Dhammyangyi temples and the
Shwezigon Pagoda. The temple interiors are often filled with rows of
Buddha, images of guardian "Nats" or spirit gods and intricate
murals depicting the life of Buddha and scenes of royalty. In the
evening a climb up of one of the ruins for a breathtaking view of
the sun setting over the mighty river and the surrounding plain
filled with countless temples and pagodas. You will also visit a
lacquer-ware workshop and the long and arduous process of making
bowls and trays that often take months to complete. Overnight in

Day 16 Bagan - Yangon <flight>
Breakfast at hotel and rest of the day at your leisure. Late
afternoon transfer to airport for your Yangon bound flight. Upon
arrival at Yangon meet and greet by your driver and transfer to your
hotel. Overnight in Yangon.
Day
17 Yangon - Ngwesaung <coach>
Breakfast at hotel and depart for Pathein, capital city of the delta
region and the gateway to Ngwe Saung beach <190 km, approx 4 hour>.
Pathein is well known by it production of unique parasol locally
called "Pathein Hti". Proceed to Ngwe Saung - meaning "Silver Beach"
<48 km approx 2 hour> on the western seaboard facing the Bay of
Bengal. It is bordered by tall, green palms swaying in the breeze.
The beach stretches 15 km of white sand and blue sea. After a long
and tedious drive reward to have a cool and nice quiet breeze at
Ngwe Saung beach. Overnight in Ngwe Saung beach.
Day 18,19, 20 BeachBreakfast at
hotel and rest of the day either relax or visit one of the fishermen
villages nearby. You may also do outing activities such as wind
surfing or scuba diving etc. Overnight in Ngwe Saung beach.
Day 21 Ngwesaung - Yangon
<coach>Breakfast at hotel and depart for Yangon. On
the way visit elephant camp observe this mighty animal at their
nature. Overnight in Yangon.
Day 22 DepartureBreakfast at hotel
and depart for airport for your onward flight to complete this
unique experience. |
