During the Cyclone Nargis devastation Journeys team was playing an active role in the relief operation at the beginning and later
helping rebuild primary schools collectively with other fellow travel agents in the country. We had so far constructed total 25 primary
schools across delta which excludes two of the school built privately by us with fund sharing from our partners in Europe. Both of the
schools are now completed and handed over to local community. Apart from this Journeys has been involving in providing assistance to some of the orphanage schools in Yangon which clients can visit, take part in teaching, educational discussion while they are in Yangon.
Apart from this we also involve community project in far north to Myanmar Himalayas where our project involve various sectors including
upgrading local schools learning condition by mean of help building weather proof school room and distribution of learning material such
as books and pencil etc. Other sector that we involve building clean toilets at local home that we stay overnight when travel. There are several villages around Putao that we often use overnight in our trekking and village walking program.
